Faire du kayak à Victoria offre la possibilité d'accéder au centre urbain aussi bien qu'aux criques cachées, aux sites retirés, au défi de la haute mer et à l'abondance de la faune marine.

Victoria est presque entièrement entourée par l'eau et son emplacement sur la pointe sud de l'île de Vancouver crée de superbes sites pour ramer.

Au sud ouest se trouve le détroit Juan de Fuca, qui s'ouvre sur l'Océan Pacifique et abrite le parc provincial maritime de Discovery, uniquement accessible par bateau. Au sud est, le détroit d'Haro mène à des douzaines de petites îles et îlots.
