Les ours parcourent les montagnes et les vallées de la région Côte et Montagnes de Vancouver.

Environ 50 ours noirs sont présents dans les forêts côtières de pruches et de cèdres autour de Whistler. Les circuits vous offrent la possibilité d'observer les ours dans leur environnement naturel et de découvrir leur personnalité et leur nom. Vous voulez observer les grizzlys à seulement 30 minutes des bouchons et des gratte-ciel de Vancouver ? Dirigez-vous vers Grouse Mountain et rendez visite à Grinder et à Coola. Ces grizzlys, orphelins de naissance, vivent dans une réserve au sommet de la montagne.

La plupart des ours se tiennent à l'écart des zones urbaines. Chaque année, on signale des ours noirs sillonnant les quartiers résidentiels sur les versants de la montagne à la recherche de nourriture, notamment dans les poubelles et les mangeoires à oiseaux. Les résidents apprennent les comportements à adopter pour éviter de trouver un ours dans leur jardin.
