Laissez-vous tenter par un circuit d'observation des baleines dans la région Côte et Montagnes de Vancouver et vivez un moment d'émotion intense en découvrant les orques (ou baleines tueuses) dans leur environnement naturel.

Les orques sont les baleines les plus couramment observées dans la région, mais ont peut également apercevoir des baleines grises, des baleines à bosse et des baleines de Minke. Lors d'un circuit guidé, rapprochez-vous suffisamment pour voir les taches blanches uniques qui différencient les orques.

Dans la région, les circuits d'observation des baleines prennent la direction du sud de l'île de Vancouver pour localiser les orques résidentes qui reviennent chaque année dans les mêmes eaux. Les fiches disponibles à bord des bateaux vous permettront d'identifier facilement les orques et même de connaître leur nom. Des hydrophones permettent aux passagers d'« écouter » les sons uniques que les baleines émettent pour communiquer entre elles.

Departing historic Steveston village, 'Gateway to the Orcas', will take you on a cruise through the Gulf Islands in search of resident killer whale pods and humpback whales. Along the way, be on the lookout for seals, sea lions, porpoises & other local wildlife.

The boats are semi-enclosed with an upper viewing deck. The small group size of 23 passengers allows you freedom to move around the vessel. We have a newly-built zodiac style 12 passenger vessel available for tours & each tour is fully narrated. We have onboard washroom facilities & complimentary water is provided. Pre-ordered lunch is available at an additional charge.

For a $10 we can also provide round-trip shuttle service to downtown Vancouver & Richmond hotels. Guided fishing tours can also be arranged.
