Partez à la recherche des orques (ou épaulards ou baleines tueuses) et des baleines grises, à bosse ou de Minke qui passent au large de cette région en route pour l'Alaska ou le Mexique. Les baleines sont souvent repérées près de la forêt tropicale de Great Bear, la plus grande surface continue et intacte de forêt tropicale tempérée, qui abrite les rares ours Kermode.

Quelques compagnies de croisières d'observation des baleines et de guides, proposent des circuits d'observation de la vie sauvage et tout particulièrement des baleines et d'autres animaux sauvages. De nombreux circuits incluent également une découverte de la culture aborigène.
