Seasmoke has been operating conservation-focused tours since 1986. Our three hour tours operate in the pristine and protected waterways of Queen Charlotte Strait and Johnstone Strait near the Robson Bight Ecological Reserve. These waters are classified as critical habitat for Northern Resident orca, Transient orca, Humpback and Minke whales, Dall's porpoise, Pacific White-sided dolphins and other marine mammals and bird species.

From June to October our tours depart from Alert Bay on Cormorant Island and Alder Bay on Vancouver Island. Our comfortable 12 passenger vessel, built specifically for viewing and photographing whales is operated by a certified skipper/experienced naturalist. Warm, waterproof clothing is provided and there is a toilet on board.

Departing historic Steveston village, 'Gateway to the Orcas', will take you on a cruise through the Gulf Islands in search of resident killer whale pods and humpback whales. Along the way, be on the lookout for seals, sea lions, porpoises & other local wildlife.
